My trip to Sweden

Having lived in Sweden as a child, I got the idea to return and visit my old home town, as well as the surrounding cities.
The first city on the trip, is the big city called Malmö. This is the biggest city in the Skåne region, which was originally a danish land, until the swedes took over in the middle ages.
Things have changed though. In 2000, a direct bridge from Copenhagen to Malmö was build, making it possible to cross the sea without taking the ferry, in only 15 minutes.
Things began to change then. The border was eliminated and became invisible, and Malmö became part of the Ørestad Region, meaning that it is fact now a part of Copenhagen. So the danes finally got some of the land back ^_^

The city is so clean and beautiful. I took a lot of pictures there, which I will share with you.

The Malm River near the Central Station. The old fortress can be spotted in the distance
This was an important fortress to keep us danes away from the city.

Typical street that can be found in many danish and swedish cities.
The style of the houses here however, are very danish inspired, considering
this was once a danish city.

The old City-Hall, still used today by many administrative workers, as well as social workers.

The Old Town Plaza. A famous place for young people to hang out when it is warm.
Also a very common place for stage performance, such as concerts or cirkus.
It is also used sometimes by foreginers to sell souvenirs.

Near the central shopping street.

The central shopping street has anything the heart desires. If you want to buy, clothes,
movies, music, books, anything.
It also has hundreds of bars, cafe's and dining places. If you continue down the street,
you will also spot a cinema and the historical library.

Seen from another angle.

This is an extremely old house. One of the first to be build there actually. It goes all the way back to the 12th century. Today it is used as a clock-shop.

Here you can sit and have a cold drink in the summer heat.

Small narrow market-street.

Here is one of the older streets. There are many of these in this city. They look almost as they did when
they were first build.

The second City-Hall.
The tower you see in the background is the Saint Patric church. An extremely big church, very very old, and very very beautiful.
I have taken some pictures from inside of it, which I would like to show you as well.

What a day it was yestoday. I had given up trying to get hired in private companies, so I tried to search for a goverment company. At last someone called me and told me to meet up for a job interview at the city-hall.
Having not been here for many years, I had completely forgot where the city-hall was, ending up walking 2 hours in the rain.
When I finally found the building, I was met by an old grumphy lady who told me that the city-hall had moved to the outskirts of the city >_<
Here we go again.

I walked and walked and walked, wet as a rat.
Then I find the area where the new city-hall is supposed to be. At first I thought "no this can't be right"
There were only industrial buildings around me, no sidewalks, busstops or anything. I had to walk in the roadside.
Finally I spotted a big office building, and horaaay! It turned out to be the city-hall.
But my searching did not end here.

I had to find a specific corridor. The man at the desk told me "Go to the left hall at the right corridor, through the second door and turn to the left"........o...kay....

But I DID find it actually. I was so glad that I had left home so early. otherwise I would not have been there in time.
I was met by a very nice lady, who would be my boss and co-worker.
She asked me a lot of questions and made me fill out some forms. This seemed a lot more professional than what I am used to. But also more strict, but I think I can survive that.
Finally, I was assigned for a job at an institution for disabled children. This is really a good job. I am happy I got it.
After Easter I would start working. So now I have to get rid of my old bad habits that I got while I didn't work. When you have been used to staying home and doing nothing, then it takes a while for you to become serious again. I think I have gotten waaaay too lazy and un-practical lately.

Missing a person

Missing someone is a hard feeling to carry. Not only do you feel that you have lost that person, you also feel that you have lost a part of yourself.
The days grow longer and become awfully quiet, with only the sound of wind to fill out the silence.

Even though you know that you are going to see this person again, you still feel lost and sad. You can't concentrate, can't focus, can't keep track on the things to do.

You can try and close your eyes and forget about your sadness, but the a picture within you will appear. A picture of the person you miss. A picture that cannot be removed, because... you love that person.

Whenever that person would call, you would feel a stream of joy flowing through your body, like a warm feeling that embrace your heart and calms your mind.

The sound of your voice makes me happy, the sound of your laughter makes me smile. Every word you say brings me the strenght I need, to fight the lonelyness that keeps me down.

I do not ask for much, just a small whisper,
as I know, you would need to take care of your own life.
A life that I may once can build up with you.

Do not feel anger, do not feel guilty. Do what you must, and I shall wait for you. For weeks, for months, even for years.
I will be waiting for you, always....
When missing someone I love, this how I feel.....

Winter is still here. Cold and white outside. Days like these I wish I was still in school. It can be pretty depressing just looking out of the window on the grey sky. It's funny when you think of it. When we were children, we used to love playing with snow, now we see it as something annoying, something that is in our way in morning when we go to our jobs or school. (Of course there are some of you I know that live in warm areas. You lucky people!!)

Days seem to to pass quickly. I wake up, and before I know it, it's night again.
This only means that spring will come quickly as well. I can't wait. I am especially looking forward to continue with my studies in the summer.

Spring is the time of love, and everyone should look forward to it and enjoy it. When i walk on the street in this cold month, I notice how many people that argue with each other. Perhaps the weather DOES have control over our behavour. At least it seems so....

Just a little note to you, all my friends. Think warm, think positive. Spring is there soon. Spend some time with your boyfriends/girlfriends and don't be so negative. it's just two more months
